Week of March 5th to 9th

Hello, Students!

Welcome to my class! I really want this class to be interesting and fun, but above all, I want you to learn a lot!

Last week, we started Unit 6: Eating Well on pg. 62. We talked about the pyramid and healthy and unhealthy food. You created your pyramid with food you ate the day before and we talked about them. We also decided to bring a fruit or vegetable every day to eat in class. We did page 63 and we started Lesson 1 "Talk about food passions" on pg 64. We did the grammar section (used to) and some drills on the board.

This is the plan for this week:

Monday, March 5th: We'll do exercise B Listening Comprehension. Then we're going to check your homework Grammar Practice on pg. 65. You'll listen to the pronunciation of "used to" and the conversatio model. Finally, you'll interview a partner and talk about his/her food passions. Your HOMEWORK is to do Lesson 1 in your workbook.

Tuesday, March 6th: Today, we'll start Lesson 2: Make an excuse to decline food" pg. 66. You're going to make a list of food you don't care about. Then, you're going to listen, read, practice, and role play the conversation model ex. A and B. We'll read and use the vocabulary and then do the Listening Comprehension section. For HOMEWORK, you'll upload a pictionary of the vocabulary words seen in class.

Wednesday, March 7th: Grammar day! You'll learn how to make negative yes/no questions in several tenses. This will take several days. So, we're going to make fun exercises and games! Maybe I upload some exercises in my blog so you can practice at home.

Thursday, March 8th: Lab day! I'm going to tell you which exercises you're doing in the lab because you're going to have a quiz every time you to in the lab. I'll explain in class. For HOMEWORK, study what you learned in the lab.

Friday, March 9th: We're going to continue with the negative yes/no questions. Your HOMEWORK is to do Lesson 2 in the workbook.

Well, have a very nice weekend!
Take care,
Your teacher,
Martha
